Thread: The Dark Knight Rises

    The Dark Knight Rises

Not sure if this is too general, if so delete/move to where appropriate, but I'm pretty pumped for this movie after seeing the latest trailer. Thought the first TDK was really watchable, with the twisty plot, watchable Joker performance and awesome score from Hans Zimmer.

    Both (HD - Quicktime):

    New Teaser (SD - Youtube):

Anyone else looking forward to this?

Movie should be based on this story "Knightfall":

The Big Story - Bane breaks the back of Batman, the only one who defeated him.

    Re: The Dark Knight Rises

He could very well take influences from it, I've only read one Batman graphic novel on recommendation, which was Joker, and it seemed like Heath Ledger's version took quite a few influences from it:

I'd really be surprised if Ledger/Nolan or someone involved the movie hadn't read this, as the character is really similar to the one in TDK. Actually the incredibly dark portrayal of Joker in that graphic novel makes the TDK joker look pretty mild.

You should know, spoilers make me a sad panda

Edit: Missed the fact that the graphic novel was released a few months after the movie. Well I guess even I can be wrong some of the time

@Remi, I think Christian Bale have said he doesn't want to do another Batman movie

    Re: The Dark Knight Rises

Was skeptic about the Dark night, but it stands up to the original (with Michael Keaton, Jack Nicholson and Kim Basinger). I will be enjoying this one also.
For everyone who hasn't seen the original, shame on you and go watch it now.
