Not sure if this is too general, if so delete/move to where appropriate, but I'm pretty pumped for this movie after seeing the latest trailer. Thought the first TDK was really watchable, with the twisty plot, watchable Joker performance and awesome score from Hans Zimmer.
Both (HD - Quicktime):

Anyone else looking forward to this?
Movie should be based on this story "Knightfall":

The Big Story - Bane breaks the back of Batman, the only one who defeated him.

He could very well take influences from it, I've only read one Batman graphic novel on recommendation, which was Joker, and it seemed like Heath Ledger's version took quite a few influences from it:

I'd really be surprised if Ledger/Nolan or someone involved the movie hadn't read this, as the character is really similar to the one in TDK. Actually the incredibly dark portrayal of Joker in that graphic novel makes the TDK joker look pretty mild.

You should know, spoilers make me a sad panda :(
Edit: Missed the fact that the graphic novel was released a few months after the movie. Well I guess even I can be wrong some of the time :p
One more spoiler?
In the trailer it says: "The Legend Ends"

Double sad panda :(:(
Should be a good film, I really enjoyed Heath ledger as the Joker in the last one.
Moved to Off Topic forum.
@Remi, I think Christian Bale have said he doesn't want to do another Batman movie
Was skeptic about the Dark night, but it stands up to the original (with Michael Keaton, Jack Nicholson and Kim Basinger). I will be enjoying this one also.
For everyone who hasn't seen the original, shame on you and go watch it now. :D

And Nolan said the same thing, I believe. Which is quite sad - amazing director.
Interesting to see if there will be more Batman movies after this, and how they will hold up.
Anyone remember the movies after Batman 1 & 2? ;)
Jack was an amazing joker (without taking anything from Heath, very different take on the characther). And I'm old enough to have seen the original at the theatre :)
I think, if this movie does well enough, that the money will make them make another movie. And Clooney was an terrible batman, enough said.

Micheal Keaton stil represents Batman for me and Jack Nicholson the Joker. Heath did great, but Jack just has that http://i556.photobucket.com/albums/ss10/djkrugger/jokersmile.gif.
Sorry medic but the joker that heath ledger played was one of the best performances of a character I have ever had the pleasure to watch and I am not saying that because he passed away during/after the film came out, I am saying that becuase I watched a trailer when heath was alive and just could not tell who the actor was, when I found out it was heath it blew me away, no matter how hard I looked I could not tell it was heath, even after knowing it was heath I still could not recognise him due to his performance, it was like I was watching an actor I had never seen or heard of before. I doubt there will be a performance like it in any of the future batman movies.
Heaths performance for me will always stand out and the next actor to perform as the joker has some massive boots to fill.
And yes I am a massive movie fanatic and have seen all the BM movies and as far as I am concerned The Dark Knight is the way BM should be told, the previous movies were just to please the kids, the Dark Knight pleases the kids and the adults! ;)

I agree about Heath Ledger being unrecognisable. It was a pretty sad feeling thinking "wow, this guy deserves all sorts of praise, wonder what he'll do in the future" and then remembering he'd passed away.
TBH I'm not all that bothered about not having Bale as Batman or Nolan as director if they make a fourth. If Nolan wasn't writing the script or Hans Zimmer wasn't doing the score, I'd be worried. I personally think Nolan is a better writer than a director, I think the Dark Knight was a film with an amazing script/story and a decent director, whereas something like Mission Impossible: Ghost Protocol (saw it today, highly recommend it) had a decent script, but amazing direction.
